The Knights of Columbus In service to one…In service to all San Diego Council 1349, is the First Council established in San Diego. We were chartered on June 8, 1908. To establish our Council, Brother Knights came to San Diego from Los Angeles on the train, arriving at the Santa Fe Station. San Diego members attended their 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees and thus the San Diego Council 1349, began. On June 8, 2008, we celebrated our 100 year anniversary and that date was named Knights of Columbus Day by the Mayor of San Diego.
