A non-profit educational organization dedicated to inspire reverence for wildlife and concern for the natural environment in the tradition of author and naturalist.

The Thornton W. Burgess Society operates the Green Briar Nature Centre and Jam Kitchen.
Preserved in a 18th-century house, the life and works of Thornton Burgess, renowned children's author and naturalist, are displayed.
