The
facility offers a 45-acre outdoor classroom of woods and wetlands for groups of
all ages to learn about and celebrate our natural heritage.
- Helmer Nature Center, named for former Superintendent Earle Helmer, is a
45-acre outdoor classroom. The facility has evolved into an integral component
of the WICSD curriculum.
- In addition, classes, families, and groups of all ages
come to the Center's woods and wetlands from throughout the region to learn
about, enjoy, and celebrate our natural heritage.
