The
facility offers a 45-acre outdoor classroom of woods and wetlands for groups of
all ages to learn about and celebrate our natural heritage.
āHelmer Nature Center, named for former Superintendent Earle Helmer, is a
45-acre outdoor classroom. The facility has evolved into an integral component
of the WICSD curriculum.
In addition, classes, families, and groups of all ages
come to the Center's woods and wetlands from throughout the region to learn
about, enjoy, and celebrate our natural heritage.
